Family Finding and Connections

Family Finding
and Connections

CASA began FFC in 2007 to help children under the protection of the courts ensure they had positive connections and/or placement with family.  Our FFC staff work with Child Welfare to investigate existing information on each child assigned and they use every tool available to identify family, create family trees, and connect children with their family of origin.
Too often children are disconnected from healthy family members when parents are experiencing substance use, domestic violence, mental health concerns, and more.  We know children flourish when they can connect with positive family
and develop relationships that extend beyond the Child Welfare system.

We have reunited hundreds of children with positive family members over the years, including siblings and Dads.
It’s rewarding and important work that helps ensure both lifelong connections and healing.
The program is supported by funding provided through Child Welfare state contracts.
