Sanne Specht
Program Director
“I was drawn to the CASA Program Director position out of my experience as a journalist covering the courts and social services beats. I sat through too many trials where children had been horrifically abused — and even killed. But all I could do was report on these tragedies and try to raise awareness that child abuse is our most shameful epidemic. Now I get to work with an army of amazing volunteers who are preventing these atrocities from ever happening again to our most vulnerable children. CASAs fight to ensure abused and neglected foster kids get what every child deserves — to be loved in a safe and nurturing home. CASAs are my heroes. I am honored to be working with them.”

Heather Brown
Assistant Program Manager
“I work daily with our wonderful volunteer CASAs, helping them strategize the next steps in their cases and providing any assistance they may need. I have a background in sociology, so I leapt at the chance to work with CASA of Josephine County when the opportunity arose. Our community must take care of our children because someday they’ll be taking care of us. I think of it as an investment in our future.”
